It is not intended for use on any other metals or materials. Rich Pink - Pink E-BL can change its shade depending on how the thickness of the anodizing surface and the duration of time in the dye bath. It can be a grayish pink if you do a shorter anodizing cycle. For a longer duration in the anodizing bath and in the dye bath, Rich Pink - Pink E-BL will look like vibrant, bubblegum pink. Make sure to seal with our MT-90 Nickel Acetate sealer directly after dye bath. Rich Pink - Pink E-BL is RoHS compliant. Specs on Rich Pink - Pink E-BL Concentration:The 80 mL bottle makes 7.6 L (2 gal.) pH - 5.4-6.0 Raise with ammonium hydroxide, lower with acetic acid. Temp: 130-140°F. Light Fastness: 6 (Lightfastness describes how resistant the dye is to fading when exposed to UV light. 1-8, 8 being exceptional and long lasting under UV light.) Time: 4-10 minutes depending on saturation preference. Experiment with your metal and techniques to achieve your desired shade. When all procedures are followed carefully, anodizing is environmentally friendly. Anodizing is an electrochemical conversion process. Anodizing changes the outer surface of the aluminum. Anodized aluminum has different characteristics than raw aluminum. Some characteristics of anodized aluminum include durability and weight. (It’s lighter weight than stainless steel but the anodized surface provides a tough surface like steel.) The process of “anodization” creates a thick oxide layer. This thick oxide layer makes it hard, quite scratch resistant and improves its corrosion resistance. It is easier to clean than raw aluminum. Because of its porous nature, anodizing makes it possible to dye the aluminum many colors.

• THIS DYE IS SHIPPED IN POWDER FORM TO INCREASE SHELF LIFE. Standard dry shelf life is 5-10 years. TO ACTIVATE COLOR: Open canister. Fill with distilled water to half an inch (12mm) from the opening of the canister. Close canister tightly. Shake well for 30 seconds. Once activated, use product within 1 year. Store in a cool, dry location for longevity.
